June 10, 2021 – JeraSoft Limited, billing software developer for telecommunications and IoT providers, today announced the major release of the JeraSoft Telecom and IoT Billing Platform – JeraSoft Billing 3.22. This release brings major updates, UI improvements, and performance optimization.
Сross-Cloud Deployments
One of the major updates in the newest version is optimization for the cross-cloud deployments. Cross-cloud deployment helps support holistic cluster deployment and ensure uninterrupted system operations without downtime risks, which is crucial for any business model. It provides customers even more freedom in physical and geographic redundancy of the platform deployment, allowing for Main and Redundant nodes to be separated into different cloud brands or being installed on a combination of cloud and local servers.
Cluster Health Check
Another important Cluster Deployment improvements is the new Cluster Health Check service. It is responsible for monitoring of the wide range of cluster parameters such as Performance, Cluster Synchronisation, Hardware status of each node, Cluster Replication, etc.
Cluster Health Checks automates the replication and backup checking, identifying any issues with clustering and replication and alerting the platform administrators.
Processing Node
To support the smooth operation of high-loaded systems, a completely new type of Cluster Node has been introduced – the Processing Node. It allows customers to use much smaller and less expensive hardware or cloud instances in the high traffic multi-server installation. This type of Cluster Node may be particularly helpful for the customers with lots of traffic, who require more than one additional node for processing.

Tax Codes
For our US customers, these multiple SureTax interface improvements allow for easier and faster taxation interface and use of multiple tax codes for different types of products. From now on we are also able to operate with Exemption codes to exclude some defined types of taxes for special services or business cases, for instance, non-profit organizations.
Jurisdiction tags
As a US billing improvement Jurisdictional tags were enhanced to allow even more comprehensive billing for US calls. Now, the system automatically connects Jurisdictional tags, building up traffic processing rules reduce and keeping the system in optional condition due to time decrease for every particular call processing.
Tax Rollback
For easier management of voided Invoices, tax rollback support was implemented. This feature assures ongoing synchronization systems process to keep all the accounting data relevant and up-to-date.
Traffic Processing
One of the most valuable improvements is in Parties Translations, which allows performing multiple translations within a single rule giving significant performance increases. This optimized feature stands for the numbers normalization supporting correct invoicing and billing process, without any manual input or delay.
Among the new features in the section is the Revert LNP function, This is what gives significant performance increase, not parties translations.
Also, we need to highlight that this feature enhances usability of the system allowing to use single interface for business case that requires vendor blocking.
Report Templates
To set up a smooth reporting process and support internal business process flow, the Report Templates section undergone some improvements, such as:
- Optimized filters in Summary
- Orig-Term – especially filtration by Src Destinations
- Countries, which might be helpful for A-number billing
Orig-Term Report
While improving the overall performance of the report, there was also aligned profitability with accounting terms, as well as improved profit analysis, the function of adding more parameters, etc.
Files Collector
Multiprocessing
In order to avoid bottlenecks and delays in file processing mode, the Files Collector service has undergone a huge performance improvement. From it is allowed to take up new files for processing independently, significantly increasing processing productivity. After Files Collector has been massively reworked resulting in performance increase ranging from 5x to 10x depending on the environment. This feature would be useful for Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers.
Minor updates in version 3.22 bring UI improvements and performance optimization through the Subscription, Packages, Invoices sections, Backup Manager, etc.
